Re: Stock Airbox new Intake

Like what do you mean. Do you mean you took the top part of the airbox off and put the short ram on top of the open box. Do you have a picture or something.

It will work fine but it will be better if you just take the airbox out since you really are not using it. Though there could be some cold air from the air box reaching the intake you have there. And where do you have the breather running to that is on the valve cover.

Re: Stock Airbox new Intake

I left the breather on the air box and never reset the ecu. I wasn't sure what to do since some one gave me this short ram for free and it was the only logical way to instal it.

I was talking bout the hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake pipe near the throttle body. What did you do to it, is it just running free or do you have it plugged somewhere. And no need to reset the ecu for an intake.

Re: Stock Airbox new Intake

Oh, I'm sorry. I have done nothing to it. I am trying to make this car as efficient as possible and retain high mpg. I already have good pipings and an aero turbine muffler. What else should i do?

Re: Stock Airbox new Intake

The breather should be hooked up to the intake pipe so you might want to do that. The breather is a vacuum for part of the head. There are several vacuum lines that go to the head that which help oil go where it is suppose to. So hook it up to your intake pipe. Plus also if you dont have anything hooked up to it then it can absorb mostuire and you dont want that. Just giving you a heads up man.

And for some mods you can start saving up and buy you a real catback exhaust system then buy you a new header. The header depends on what state you are in cause of emmissions. If you are in a state that doesnt give a crap then get a race header, if they do care then get a 4-1 header with a hi flow cat.
