Question 98 swap

Hi Im new to the civics so i have a few questions. i have a 98 civic hx and i want to swap the engine for a si one. Is it possible and even worth it? Would that be a B16A engine? Any feedback would be a great help Thanks

I'm not completely sure but I think you would need the engine and tranny, ecu, maybe OBD2 to OBD1, halfshafts(maybe) and it should bolt up. Please correct me if I'm wrong or if I'm missing anything.

The b16a2 is the em1 motor. The b16a is a jdm motor. You need motor mounts, ecu, motor, tranni, wire harness, the rest depends if your car is auto or manual.
