Check Engine Light Help?

Hey guys, here's a little background on the car. It's a 1997 2 door 5 spd with 175,000 miles. I just purchased it, has a full header (no cat), fully welded exhaust, back to a flowmaster muffler. I bought it this way... stock intake box, if there's a tube that comes out of the box and goes somewhere it is missing. Can you tell this is my first civic?

Anyways, I obviously had some o2 sensor codes. I couldn't run the standard defouler trick because of the brand header caused the extended o2 sensor up into the CV shaft. All the angled defoulers I've found have been on back order. So I plugged the downstream o2 bung, drilled a hole in the side and welded in a machined defouler. It's basically a 1" long sleeve, with a 3/16" hole in the end that goes into the downpipe, then a bung welded in the other end for the o2 sensor. Was welded in by certified welded, don't think there's any leaks.

Anyways, I'm getting a misfire code, but no o2 code. Anyone have any experience in this? Should I ignore the o2 for now on, and do a small tune up on it like wires and plugs? I did the cap and rotor already because it was running poorly when I first bought it. I don't feel it misfire and the light isn't blinking, just staying on constantly.

The codes are P1382 and P1381, Manufacturer Control Ignition System or Misfire.

Sorry about the long wind, any suggestions? Are civics like other vehicles where if you clear the codes you still need to put on like 60 miles until the computer can be read by inspection stations? Thanks in advance for any help.
