hi im trying to do 99-00 front end swap on my 97 civic and i was just wondering if the radiator core support needed to be swapped or modified or just left as is for the front bumper mounts.

Re: front clip swap

Compare Honda part numbers (not the short Honda code) on www.hondapartsdeals.com. If they match, they are the same (my gut feeling is they are in fact, the same).

I went to majestic hondas site, and noticed that a 96 civic coupe has a different part number than a 99 civic coupe.

I just looked at 99 and 96 different hoods.

Majestic uses the Honda Code number, not the actual part number. As mentioned before, go to www.hondapartsdeals.com and compare full part number.

No, I had a 99 civic parked next to mine 96 and looked at the hoods, the 99 is different because the grill is different and lines of the hood will not match. Hard to explain but the front of the 99 is narrower where the headlights meet since the 99 has a wider grill.

Re: front clip swap

Ok, the initial question was about the radiator support. That would indeed be the same part for both cars. Of course the hoods/grills/bumper fascia/fenders and headlights are all different. Otherwise why would they want to do the swap?

Is exactly correct, you need bumper, headlights, fenders, and hood. I would assume some minor drilling would be involved. but original rad support should work.
