Having Fuse problems

I got a 97 hatch that i purchased a while back and i was installing a new radio and the next thing i know when i was gonna turn on my headlights the dash lights didnt come on, the icon still come on like the seat belt but the dash lights wont come on so when i drive at night i cant see my speed and such, i changed the fuse to what i thought in the panel diagram but i dont think that worked. got any ideas what i could do to fix my problem any help is greatly appreciated

The fuse for the dash lights are under the steering wheel. There are several lights in the dashboard so it's probably not a blown bulb cause they all would have to have blown. You may have removed a fuse and put it back in the wrong slot. Or the wiring harness is not fully seated in the back of the gauge cluster. Or your headlight switch is busted.

when you installed the radio you more then likely tapped into a wire that you thought read ground on ACC for either the main power or remote from the unit, but instead it may have been an +12VDC antenae wire or something you accidently wired into.
Try wiring the power source eleswhere and make sure you just ground the headunit right into the chassis.
