Hey any time I hit a bump or pull out off a hill that at a weird angle my tires make a very distinct crunching/squeakish type noise. If I rock my car back and forth when its in my driveway it will make this noise and its coming mainly from my back tires. I am assuming my shocks are going bad?

Could be the shocks but usually the squeaks come from bushings. Lay down near the sound and have someone else shake the car to zero in on the source.

Alright ill check it out tomorrow. Should this be a cheap fix if that is the problem?

i have a similar problem my car makes something like a squealing/ticking noise thats barely audible but i notice it. i get it when i overshift for a few seconds. normal?

It depends on which bushing it is. Bushings are generally cheap but the replacement can be time consuming for some of them and therefore expensive.

My wife's CRV just started squeaking when you first run the car. It turned out to be the catalytic converter. There's a couple of springs where the flanges mate up with the down pipe. I don't have them on my DX but they might exist on an EX Civic to that could also be a potential source for the squeak.
