2005 Honda Civic - A/C Self-Diagnosis and Vent Door Problems
Several things here.....
Basically, my blend door isn't working.
* I'm stuck on all face vents
* I hear the actuator clicking when on anything but the face vents
+ mechanic changed actuator and it didn't help. Keep my car 3 weeks, didn't fix it.
* The Mode module (fan button) went out. Replaced it with used part. They're like $300+ new.
+ Module back working.
* The Defrost, A/C, Recir module started acting funny.
+ Things are fine until I change the mode to anything with the Defrost in it....the A/C light - A/C comes on.
Self-diagnosis does not work either!!!
I can't help but think if I change the blend door actuator it'd fix the blend problem....but I don't know it may not (mechanic tried).
I wonder if a door or a guide is stuck or broke. I can move the upper blend vent, not the lower, I'm not sure if the actuator isn't connected to it by an arm.
And I just don't know about the Defrost, A/C, Recir button.
I'm not a mechanic but I can do some things, not completely stupid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Barry

This is normal, post 5 in the below thread says how to disable.

Looked at a YouTube video......turned to Vents, heat to Max, fan medium.....did the routine. I don't know if it was the YouTube or yours (that I didn't fully vet) that worked. I can have the A/C on or off with Defrost. Thanx very much!
