2001 Civic lx battery light flickers after 2k rpm
2001 Civic lx battery light flickers after 2k rpm
Today a friend of mine wanted to race so we did but right after i noticed that the battery light had turned on. Then I decided to pull over and let him know but when I stopped the car it died. I was able to turn it on amd it runs fine but the light starts to flicker any time I pass 2k rpm. Anytime I'm under 2k there is no flickering. If anyone know I'd appreciate the help. Thanks

Sounds like somethings wrong with the alternator, check the belt, make sure it's still there and not too tight or too loose. Make sure the alternator mountings bolts are tight. Test the output of the alternator as well

Charge warning light on?
Unplug alternator 4 wire harness.
Did light stay off?
Bad alternator.
If light stays on after unplugging the alternator, something else has control of the idiot light.
