Question Battery Light Flickers

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody has run into this issue? I replaced the alternator and now the battery light flickers. I have tried four different alternators (one OEM) and they all do the same thing. I brought it to a shop and they checked it out and said everything is okay with it. I have driven it for about two years now with it and it drives well. I am just wondering why it is doing this, it's not a loose connection I already checked that.

Thanks

Re: Battery Light Flickers

What about belt tension? If the belts are too out of adjustment, that can sometimes trigger the light. Have you inspected the ground connection? I'm assuming that would be fine since the shop gave you an okay for it, but you never know.

Re: Battery Light Flickers

Yes the tension is fine. I had the belts and all of the connections checked. After I had this problem with the first alternator (the first one i purchased) I found somewhere on the internet where someone had this problem with a aftermarket alternator. They just swapped it with one they purchased from the dealer and everything was normal. That didn't make sense to me but I did try an OEM alternator. It didn't fix it.

Also I forgot to give some information on my car.

Also thanks MelJ for the quick reply
