Timing belt, water pump kit?

Went to AutoZone, they have a kit made from AC Delco lifetime warranty on a complete kit timing belt, tensioner, water pump and some other goodies for the 04 Honda Civic, priced at $102. Don't know how much OEM cost but the parts tech guy said that these parts are exactly like OEM parts but they are made here in the USA... Any info?

More than that.

Of course they tell you that crap, they want you to buy their ****.
The Zoo has no techs. They have parts pushers. All they do is sell parts, they have no interest in fixing your car.

Any info?
Let me ask you this:
What's the COST of that cheap PRICE?

What good is the lifetime warranty on the parts they sell for this job?
If ANYTHING lets go and your engine bends the valves, that lifetime warranty is not gonna cover one bit of the damages.

Their lifetime warranty doesn't cover one bit of labor. How many times do you want to do this big job over again when their water pump leaks?

(BTW, AC Delco has had plenty of problems with counterfeiters....and nowadays they have most of their stuff made offshore just like all the rest of the cheapo parts.)

Re: Timing belt, water pump kit?

"It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money %u2014 that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot %u2014 it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better." -John Ruskin
