Hello everyone first timer here. Just picked up my 2001 civic 5speed. Perfect shape,145,000 miles. Was given Reciepts for timing belt and water pump done 5,000 ago. Never owned a honda, any things I should check first? What kind of oil do you all use? And also how many miles you have? Thank you all so much for any advice you have for me. I look forwarx to getting to know you.

Welcome, glad you've joined the forum. I've been a member for a few months and the DIY section is a gold mine...
I'm running genuine Honda 5w-20 synthetic blend. I thought it was a bit pricey and I'm probably going to change to synthetic blend from Castrol or Pennziol.
