timing belt "kit" or OEM?
I see a lot of parts stores selling timing belt "kits" for a good price....timing belt, tensioner, tensioner spring, water pump, water pump gasket, timing cover gasket, crank seal,

Do you guys go oem with this stuff? Or is an aftermarket kit like this okay to go with? The kits I am refering to are very well known brand names,

I'm a firm believer in OEM parts over all other aftermarket parts (except performance).

i use a Gates timing belt from napa which is the same brand that makes honda belts in the usa. also my pump,tensionor,gasket kit and all belts are from napa.

I'm quite partial to OEM, as well, especially with sites like www.hondaautomotiveparts.com at our disposal.

yeah but OEM is a Gates brand belt so buying a Gates belt from napa is the same as buying a ''honda'' belt from the dealer.

gates dont make kits. they just make belts.
