Hi I purchased an OEM air filter for a 2004 Civic LX online that looks like it is been damaged during shipment. I wasn't impressed with the shipping as multiple items were stuffed into a small box with an oil filter sitting on top of the air filter. I have attached a picture of the air filter. Is this what a normal OEM air filter looks like?

mine was pure white and the pleats were perfectly straight that looks like a manufacturing issue. that looks like poo but im sure it will get the job done ???. what brand is that ??? were did you order it from ???

It says genuine Honda and I purchased it from HandA-Accessories.com. My concern is whether that is the way the Honda filters are to begin with or if it was damaged during shipment. I've seen aftermarket ones with the pleats perfectly straight as well so that is why I am alarmed.

yeah when it comes to some oem stuff i would much rather have after market stuff since honda doesn't actually make the filters there not really the best quality even some american made honda oil filters are real shitty quality as you can see here at the 7:41 mark. prolly would work, altho stuff like that makes me nervous. i always just buy local like a napa gold from the parts place. then you get to see it before buying.
