hello i have a honda civic coupe vtec 1.7 2001 em2 uk spec the far side passenger window is stuck up iv been told i need a new motor/rail
how do i get the window down a bit so i can unbolt it from the rail iv seen another post that looks helpfull any other help would be cool thanks for your time

did u dis engage the window lock on ur driver side window console?

You may be able to isolate the motor (2 pin connector) and apply voltage directly to the motor to see if it will move (did not work on the rear window for my 05)

The last comment and suggestion may work. However if not and I apologize for not having photos but... I have just replaced the whole system except the glass itself on my 2002. if the window will not go down by isolating the the 2 pin connector than look for the wire cable thats winds around the plastic cog attached to the motor this is actually a two piece system. One section of the wire will disconnect from the remaining part. I know this because it is what actually occured to my system, the wire disconnected some how and when forse was used by my son he damaged the motor and cog. Also with the windo in the up position the motor is able to be removed doing so may aid in the disconnection of the wire or solve your problem all together.
