Rear defrost

Ok, so I used to have window tint on my car. Took it off bc of inspection issues and my rear defrost stopped working. Is there anyways I can fix that or should I just change the back window because winter is coming and I deff need that feature

Re: Rear defrost

you deffinetly shouldnt need to replace the whole window...does the defrost only work in a small spot or not work at all?

Re: Rear defrost

here this is the guide that i used to figure out why mine didnt work
http://www.glasslinks.com/tips/defrost1.htm

here is where you can buy whichever product you need
http://www.frostfighter.com/catalog.htm

i needed the power tab kit for my sunfire a while back and this worked perfectly
its good to have a voltimeter to check and make sure your power leads are even getting power, if their not check its fuse.

Re: Rear defrost

Not at all bud. When I took the tint off it seemed like part of the grid film came off with it, so idk. I have sat off from work, so i'll try to see where the breaks are, if theres too many of them, then I got a quote from this shop for 250 brand new window installed

Yeah checked the fuse, they're all good... I need a multimeter, maybe I need to invest some money into one, that actually would be a good hundred dollars investment
