ac issues

I posted here before that my ac was not working ....the compressor would not engage when ac button was pressed....took the car to the mechanic they did something and replaced a thermal switch (I think that is the name) now my ac works it blows cold air but it never turns off the compresssr is always running the pipe underneath the hood gets frozen and now i have no clue what to do next....any ideas pls?
