WIX oil filter
im doing my oil change on saturday and instead of going with the K&N oil filter, im going to try out this WIX filter. its only about $3 cheaper than the K&N but that has nothing to do with why i want to try it out. They had a display set up with one of these oil filters opened up so you could see everything inside in detail, and i have to say it looked even better than the K&N did. it has glass enhanced media for 10-12 micron, metal base plate and end caps, metal coil spring, safety bypass valve, silicone anti-drain back valve, etc.
http://www.wixfilters.com/productinformation/index.html if anyone wants to check it out.
autovalue here only stocks two kinds, k&n and wix. (used to be k&n and fram until they realised that the fram ones with crappy filtration and paper ends are garbage). the guy who i talked to there drives hondas too and said he lives by these. theyre apparently the most used oil filters in nascar racing as well.
just wondering if anyone uses or has any experience with wix oil filters? i know their cabin filters are #1, haha.
