need help with ignition

HI everyone,

I was installing a new cd deck in my civic today and the i was the constant 12 volt that is coming from the steering column, it's the ignition.

Anyhow the wire got away from me and hit the metal and shorted, now i can't start the car.

help please.

check the fuses buy a multi meter to save time it has to be a fuse issue.

dangerous man! always unplug the battery when working on electrical wiring. you could be killed and not all wires have a fuse. ignition does so lucky you, just replace the fuse.

I know, i normally unplug the battery. is it the 40 amp under the hood?

i had a look and that's the one that seems to be burned.

probably yeah its a beefy fuse for ignition
