trunk lid gas spring

has anyone replaced their trunk lid tension bars with gas springs? which ones would you recommend? how did you mount them? thanks.

No, but if you decide to take the tension rods out; beware they are not fun to put back in. so check your magnets on any new 6x9's you put in...been there unfortunatly done that...a lid without the rods will also chop off your fingers in a hearbeat too

I did mine with that DIY because I had to cut my springs out to clear my Kenwood 6x9s. Love this mod.
