i need to do something with my cam
dose anyone make a cam for 2001 LX's cuz i know that i can get a regrind/resurface fro compcam on my stock one. but i want to know if they make a cam for my car?????????????

Yes they are out there. I'm not sure how many choices you have. I haven't really looked too far into CAMs. I know AEM makes one for sure:

crower makes the full cam, which is better than a regrind. check truehonda.com and stay with stage1 if you have a near stock motor. and then you wont need the upgraded valvetrain components either.

those crower cams are for EX's only gear, and also pheaton, a cam gear is different than the cam. You CAN get a custom grind for a D17A1 head from crower. Hell have them do a custom crankshaft and stroke it, you'll have the parts in two years when they are done lol.

+1, headswap + crower cam stage 1 + vafc; Problem solved. That is what I recommend. Otherwise leave it alone and save up for turbo.

I scored my ex head for 60 bucks and I just have to replace the valves. I also got a stage 2 cam PLUS springs retainers for 250 shipped. Patience my son, and you will find the deals. Considering I am eventually going turbo I am going to forgo the the VAFC and get an AEM FIC though.

$150 is the most you should pay for a complete ready head (aside from having it checked out at machine shop).

I think it was supermex that had the custom cam. If I remember correctly.
You can get a custom cam grind from crower for the a1. I think their site said 150 bucks extra for the custom work. Not to bad- you can give them WHATEVER specs you want for the lift and duration and they'll make it up. It doesnt take 2 years.

the cam & springs/retainers are in UPS hands as we speak. I spent my FIC money on projectors and bulbs because I am going to retro my TYC's very soon.

lol did you read the post? Crower makes custom camshafter and bottom end cranks, but the latter takes quite a while to do for some reason. I am not sure what the turn around on a custom grind camshaft.
