help with headlights
Re: help with headlights
I actually found my way to this forum asking that same exact question not too long ago, and only one person gave me a really good answer. There are a couple of different options for a 7th gen, the most popular of which are valeo, tyc, and various ebay brands like "sonar". These are all halogen projector style headlights. There are also plug and play "HID kits" which use rebased xenon bulbs for more light and more color that plug into whatever headlights you are using (stock or aftermarket). These are not a good idea and while they mostly put out more light, they shoot it out in all random directions and often blind oncoming drivers with their glare. The best and also most expensive way to go for new headlights is the HID retrofit. This involves taking proper HID projectors from other cars such as S2000, acuras, beamers, or mercedes and jerry-rigging them into our stock civic headlights or aftermarket headlights housings. This is time consuming and labor intensive, but increases light output with little or no glare. some good sites to check out for just plain old after market halogens are password jdm, ebay, robear racing. SOme places to check out for HID retrofits are HID planet (great newbie info), custom lightz, and the retrofit source. Dirty samurai (a member on this site) also has a DIY retrofit guide for our 7th gens, just search for it here.

Re: help with headlights
when i bought my car it was wrecked so i was forced to buy new headlights. the oem honda ones were 150 each so that wasn't an option. i eneded up buying DEPO headlights from www.silverimage.com . they work fine for me and look oem with black housing. roberracing.com has them too i believe. your best bet is probably silver image. i got the pair for under $200. good luck to you
Re: help with headlights
i jus got done doing my DIY black headlights. finished in 5 hours. no problem. then i went to autozone n got some cheap Hesser white lights. they are much brighter than stock and work fine. it was very easy and worth eveyr penny. i blacked out the headlights for less than $20 and the brighter lights were $40..yes my car is very dirty

Re: help with headlights
I have had three types on my car, stock with eyebrows, chrome TYC projectors (leaked, had replaced) and now I have black TYC projectors. Of all the ones I have had I like the black ones the best. Below is a pic (also an 03 vic), finally got my winter tires off and summer rims back on.

make sure it's DOT (department of transportation) approved, depending on your local/state laws.
wouldn't want to deal with the hassles of fix-it tickets.
