wat the hell, this sucs. So 2 days ago i was driving and saw this horrible looking man-hole that was sticking out of the ground and so I steered so my wheels would miss it, BUT, my magnaflow cat-back exhaust hit it. It wasnt anything 2 big lik just a little "bing" noise.
Well today my car was louder and eventually it just sounded like I had no exhaust at all. So I pull over and spot where the 2 pipes connect under the middle of the car where disconnected.
The bolts where scraping the ground a little as I creeped home. (+ it was raining and 1 of my headlight bulbs burnt out).
So ya...I guess its alright and I can just put it back together and tighten it. But my night sucked.
My car is lowered w/tein springs- about 1.4 i think. Anyways...can i move the exaust or something so that those nails/bolts DONT hang like an inch above from the city streets???

Post some pics what it looks like. Are you talking about the connecting point just before the axle? You shouldn't have any "nails/bolts" hanging that close to the street. I've got about an 1.5" drop (Tein SS coilovers) with an N1 exhaust I don't even come close to the ground at that point. Check your hangers to make sure they're not bent and still attached.

well i looked today and a clamp that held the 2 pipes together under the car come off and so the pipes are disconnected. So for now i just tied a string under one of the pipes to this hole in the underbody so it wont scrape.
Also took the clamp out so its not scraping. Im going to drive to a shop on monday or tuesday and get it put back in place. Hopefully nothing else is wrong with it
Im so surprised I didnt get pulled over lol. My car was SO loud and one of my headlight bulbs is out 2

LOL - string?! You're killin' me smallz! Straight ghetto! You do realize that the string will last maybe a day because the exhaust temps will kill it, right? Too funny. You have to post what the shop says when roll in with your string exhaust hanger. Too funny!

Re: Magnaflow broke in half
no lie. it was a manhole that was sideways. one metal edge was sticking out and the whole street was slanted as well.
That must have made the clamp loose and then finially it came disconnected.

Re: Magnaflow broke in half
4DRCivicEX Fist use a bent coat hanger or a piece of wire to hold the exhaust up and second TURN THE CLAP THE OTHER WAY SO THE TAB DOESN'T HANG DOWN

The string is just there to last the 7 min. drive to the shop im going to go to. When I get there the string comes off, I get that exhaust fixed and the clamps the other way SO they WONT POINT DOWN, and...Im gonna put new blacked out headlights and 6000k hid
