I thought that was the whole point of doing this procedure. You now have the option of turning the AC off in defrost mode.

Is there a way to pull the fuse (Fuse #20 = MG clutch) or relay connected with the a/c compression to fully stop it from functioning at least for the few months in the winter time????
Not sure where you live, but there are times AC is really freekin handy for clearing a fogged windshield quickly, even in the dead of winter.
Relay with single snowflake was pulled but compressor still turns on.
Push the button on the dash to turn the AC off. You said the programming mod did what it was supposed to do, so use it.

Or does the AC still run even after doing that? Does the compressor continue to run even when the entire control panel is turned off?

Please help
What year is the car?

Re: Honda defroster reprogramming

Normal operation when changing modes for compressor to re-engage (even my '13 w/ CC still does)

I set mine at floor, DEF and leave it all winter.... Till I bump that big *** button, and have to reset everything back the way it was.
