Need info on HID's

I dont know much about how they work and how to install them. Does it use a lot of amperage? Should I install myself or pay someone to do it? Does it get really hot inside the headlight housing?

Does it use a lot of amperage?

Yes, initially. The current drawn to "ignite" the HID bulbs is going to be something like 13 amps, rather than the 7 of OEM. A wiring harness is strongly recommended!

Should you install yourself or pay someone to do it?

This is a very debatable question. If you know what you're doing, go for it. Take all the same precautions as you would for any other electrical work.

Does it get really hot inside the headlight housing?

HID runs cooler than halogen.

yes, I also think it is very obvious to NOT TOUCH THE BULB with your hands ... the bulb will get oil on it from your hands and because it gets very hot, the glass will explode ...

that's for those cheap imitation hid bulbs

true hid bulbs wouldn't blow that easy, it's insulated, because the arc releases radiation, the bulb has to be thick enough to prevent radiation leak
