PAGE 235 IN THE MANUAL
Tells you how to remove the glove box to get access to the air conditioner microfilters, just like I said. It's even listed in the index. How you didn't find it, I don't know.

im confused someone help me out with the direction on wiring this thing up. Okay i havent bought the stuff yet, but the led should have 2 little lead sticking out. If you tap into the ecu wire, where do you wire it up to the led. Also if you have a ground wire, where do you wire it up to the lead. And last what about the resistor?

tap vtec wire >> add wire to connect to the long end of LED >> attach resistor to the short end of the LED >> Attach wire to resistor >> ground wire on something metal
That is the order everything should be in.

yeah cwick come help me PLEEAASEE. lol i hate doing this type of stuff. i which wire to get but i know if i try and pull it out or whatever im gonna **** something up like usual. plus i bought the wrong wire i think. i bought speaker wire thats way to big to fit in the splice. i also dont get how to ground it or whatever.
I've done this mod and it took like half an hour. I mounted my light next to where the stock fog light switch would be. Its pretty sweet and i never knew the vtec actually kicks in so low. Mine usually comes on at 2800 rpm.
If that's your attitude, then why would you want a tachometer? Really, think about it, unless you're deaf and can't hear the engine to shift, you don't need one.... (Come to think of it, who needs a speedometer, just go along w/ the rest of traffic.)
when you redline your car, it doesnt make a different noise. having a shiftlight lets me know when im at the peak of my powerband. the sound of my motor will not tell me when im at the peak of my powerband.
i didnt ask the question to hate. I did it to further my understanding.
my bad for giving you the wrong impression bro

i think im just gonna pop off one of those things next to the cig lighter and drill a hole in it, put the led in, and put it back
hey when grounding your thing or whatever, do u just kind of stick a wire next to the cig lighter or something

Right behind that panel is a metal bar with a wire that is ground there. Just undo the screw a little bit and place the ground wire under it.

Our 7thgens aren't setup like that.

Hey I got a great idea to run by you guys first though I'm not really sure if it will work. I'm pretty confident that it would but oh well here it goes.
I need a Bosch relay (I dunno how many amps yet, need to check out more technical data on that)
This setup will have two LED's. One LED lights up when VTEC hasn't kicked in and another one lights up when it kicks in.
I tap the wire of the vtec solenoid thing and hook that up to #85 on the relay. #86 on the relay goes to ground. #30 on the relay is hooked up to a power supply that is probably tapped from the cigarette power socket. #87a would be to the grounded LED for VTEC off. #87 would be to the grounded LED for VTEC on. A toggle switch that cuts off electricity from the cigarette power socket and the VTEC Solenoid would be hooked up as well to switch this baby off when I dun wanna use it =) What do ya'll think about this setup???
