how do i get behind 12V socket on an 03???

how do i get behind 12V socket on an 03???

i can't seem to be able to just pull it out like the diy says...anyone? i needa get to the wires that give the socket its power and ground....

look at the DIY to install headunit...
one way to do it is to do it by moving the center console back a bit and getting it from there... at least that's how i did it with an 02.

Look inside the glove box, on the lower left there should be a screw. I have an 03 but I have yet to take it apart in that area year its only a week old but I looked. It reminded me on the late 6th gens. Diff from 01 and 02 so the DIY wont help at all. Also you are def gonna need to remove the whole center console or most of it from what i can see... should be to bad 2 screws on each side on the back, three inside the armrest under the rubber thing. If you have a manual that cover snaps off and there are 4 more under there, didnt get much farther then that

Pull HARD. It will come out. There's 4 clips and they can get jammed. You can try to get a small screwdriver under the edge to get it started, just be careful not to scratch it. You don't need to take off the console to do it.
