Which Intake Brand should I go with?

I have a 2003 Civic HX Coupe with a 5 speed and am planning on putting in a intake. I was doing my research on the net and came to the conclusion that either Injen or AEM makes the best intake. As expected they both say their intakes outperfor their competators products, I was wonding if anyone had some advice as to which would be the better choice. I'm, planning on getting a cold air intake. Also, most if not all sites say that the intakes are for DX, LX and EX models, not the HX. The difference between the HX and the DX and LX is that it has a vtec engine, while the others do not. Any help would be greatly Appriciated.

I do not think the HX intake would be different than the others, only difference is the type of VTEC I think......
I have an EX, and if I was going to get an intake, it would be the K&N FIPK II. It has a heat shield, and its around $250 or something... and its black, so not too flashy, and it is plastic, insulates from heat better. Hmmm.... I read a bunch of good things about it vs the other SRI intakes... oh but you want a CAI, wouldn't get a CAI, just because I like driving through deep puddles on occasion. Not really.... CAI should give a nice little power gain and whatnot.... Injen and AEM would be my top two choices, I would pick Injen simply because I like the name better.... then you can say "I got an Injen intake" and I can say "My engine has an intake too!"

I thank Friedrice for an actual response to my question.
For RegulatorRacing, I have searched, and on all the sites i've looked at they don't mention the HX trim style with the Vtec. The HX VTEC is different than the EX VTEC. The EX produeces more power than the HX 127 HP, while the HX produces more power (117HP) then the DX and LX (115 HP). As I stated before, I have searced On injen's website they only list the part for the DX, LX and EX model, part # RD1566, http://www.injen.com/honda.html , It's at the bottom... and it's for 01-02, but It should still work for 03 right? That's what I was asking. Another example, on AEM's Webpage, parts 21-502, 22-503, 20-401s, 24-6102 are for the DX, LX, and EX "only", but I'm guessing they'll work on the HX as well. But since they don't say I was wondering if anyone on here knows for sure, the page is http://www.aempower.com/application/induction_application.htm
Next time, before calling someone a newbie, and telling them to search, how about just giving advice or shutting up.

I vote for the stock intake. Just take off the resonator box and you're good to go!

If you are not in California, I recommend you get something generic and slap a K&N cone filter on it. Save yourself $100-150 or so.

Lack of searching is 75% redeemed by knowing that the EX and HX have different VTEC systems.

As for fitting an HX.... I don't see why the EX one wouldn't fit. The only difference is in the head. The rest of the engine bay should be totally identical.
I vote for Injen... it's the only one that draws true cold air from outside the engine bay.... and you don't need no stinking bypass valve.

btw, i believe he was talking about searching on THIS site, not the internet in general. using the search function on this site gets over looked quite a bit (i am one of those over lookers quite often).

APRboy is on a distinguished road
I've had both the AEM and INJEN RD intake and i kept the INJEN Race Division. It is a true cold air intake because the filter is completely away from the engine unlike the AEM sits in front of the engine. PLus the injen is a lot louder!

i vote that you should wait till the new AEM v2 comes out, it produces the greatest power throughout the whole rpm range and not loose the already panzy low end torque we dont have.
