What psi will you be runnin'? One dude on this site is runnin' 8psi with no ignition retard. I would get colder plugs, but that should be enough for 8psi. If you're planning on going higher, then I'm not sure what you could do? I guess you'de have to wait for the AEM EMS to come out for our cars (that is if it isn't out already). I know that it can control anything and everything. Programming it is the hard part though.

i was looking to run about 5-7 with about 8.5:compression can i go more with low compression pistons also plan to buy a apexi s-afc im trying to keep everything simple and professional i run a small fab shop and plan to make a tubular s/s header and all polished s/s plumbing, gas purge tig welded. ive made polished s/s valve cover trim that takes place of the honda plastic cover but it uses the factory retainers the car is in a million pieces with only 3800 mi on it so if and when i get it back together ill post some pics it should be pretty hot for a sohc motor

Check out my little Turbo DIY: custom turbo parts
It's not perfect, but it may give you some ideas. I need to update it 'cause the whole 3-4psi thing without any fuel system mods is very hypothetical. Insane is probably a better word. Disregard that part of the "DIY".
Anyway, you don't need to run lower compression if you only plan to run 5-7psi. As I said, one dude is running 8psi (although not all the time) without any internal modifications.
I would also reccomend reading Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. It really opened up my eyes to all of the little nuances of turbo's.

yeah it still does cams and valve timing are different then ignition timing but heres another question if vtec means Variable Timing and lift Engine Control does that mean cam timing or ignition timing?

Nah, actually it's the shirt I wear when I work on my car.

Yeah, cam timing. Although... I bet the ECU changes the ignition timing when "VTEC kicks in". Actually, it changes the ignition timing by reading the knock sensor (I think). Try an experiment... Turn on your car and rap on the motor with a hammer. You don't have to hit it hard. Just keep tapping it and see it the engine sound changes. This might be more effective on the warm-up cycle since the rpm's are higher. It'll be less noticeable if the rpm's are really low. Anyway, just babbling...

Ooh ooh! I know, I know!
He used an extra injector and an FMU to control the injector. I'm not sure what the FMU is hooked up to, but it's at least hooked up sense boost at the BOV. Ideally it should be hooked up to as many other sensors as possible. Oxygen sensor, engine rpm, EGT sensors, and tra la la la la...
