Wiring power windows into dx???
I recently ripped the power window's out of a wrecked lx at the junkyard for my dx 2dr. The installation into the dx is not plug and play however. The dx modifies the wiring harness before going through the door because only speaker wires are needed. I need to splice the new lx door harness into the dx's harness. Can anybody identify the wire colors for me?

the wiring takes some play to figure out. alls you gotta do is run a singlular 12 volt source wire in there, id go direct from teh battery so you can run your windows even with the car off.
as to exact wiring, youll have to play, but basically, through teh grommet into your door goes teh motor wires from teh passenger door and the one 12 volt source wire. everything else should be internal, unless honda made some crazy power window control set. if its jsut your basic switch, then this will be how it works. you can use a dmm to make sure none of the leads your playing with power are connected, so you dont short anything out.
eventually youll find 2 leads where the power will work, all it takes is time. then you can splice teh wires and call it a day. simple!

look for red/black (for up) and red/yellow to control the drivers window. the passenger should be blue/red (for up)and blue/white. These are reversing polarity wires, so once you figure out power and ground to the switch, they should be easy to test. The remaining wire(s) are your illumination.
