Turbo Questions...
A few questions here. i did a search...
1- cost of install?
2- Kits that are out?
3- What comes in the kit, and will i need to buy extra stuff?
4- VTEC controller, boost controller, etc.
I would like only the people with turbos to reply. I wanna do this by springtime. I wanted to do the Turbo Performance kit, but should i wait for Rev hard?

well i dont have a turbo, but i can tell u some things...
1- some ppl have spent 4-8 grand
2- most have been custom set-ups so far
3- see #2, a turbo manifold would also be needed to be made. (sell ur header when u do this)
4- def. get a boost controller as well as a turbo timer. VTEC controller would be optional.

to tell gyou right now, labor will cost you alot of money and some time.
most performance shops will charge $45-60 an hour.
start getting the main things first.
then start piecing it 2gether until you all the pieces to the puzzle.
get your manifold made.
get a Turbo.
get a blow off valve.
intercooler if your running one.
get all your pipes made.
and the key thing is getting Fuel to the engine so it dont burn lean.
and yes if your VTEC then get the VAFC!!
if your not then get the SAFC!!

2- None worthwhile. The Turbo-Performance kit is absolute crap, subpar fuel management and the manifold was of horrible design and quality. Tony at Jotech ordered one for my turbo project a while back and we ended up sending it back, the manifold would crack in less than 6 months.
3- Depends on the kit. You will always need extra stuff, as turbo kits never come with clutches, rarely come with all the gauges you need (EGT, Boost, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure), and rarely come with a boost controller. Also be careful, some kits (when one comes out for our car) use not-so-good quality wastegate and blowoff valves, and offer something like a Tial upgrade, my advice would be to do that if you can. Better to spend more money and do it right the first time, than have your wastegate stick, boost creep up to about 15psi, and blow your engine.
Search under my user name for the thread, I believe it's in Member's Rides Talk now, I posted pictures and details of my turbo installation.
you might as well save up for a k-series swap. you'll get better gains for the amount of beans you're going to spend. you could also turbo it later if you wanted to which will probably put you to 250-260 midrange at the wheels... just my $0.02.

Oh well, might as well do it right the first time.

not many people think aobut this but the K20A2 swap would be require less mantenance and its just a regular engine, the turbo wears it down. i'd do K20A2. start off with good base power which is eaqul to a turbo for us at 8 PSI.
