DIY Clear Head Lights?

I was told by someone that you have to drop the whole front bumber to (DIY) clear out the head lights! Is this true?

Nope. I just unscrewed the two screws in the tire wells and popped off the clamps at the top of the bumper near the grill and peeled it down. Less work.

Exactly. I keep telling people how you don't need to remove the entire bumper, but nobody gives a shat...so whatevers.

Hey I was wanting to do it to my car but I was wondering if there are any rules on your lights. I dont have a clue if it is legal or not to have clear blinkers or if they have to be orange or if it different for each state. Please help because I plan to do it very soon.

Sup Rino....main..it's diff for every state. Some require you to have the orange colored bulbs, but some just require that the bulb (whether it's white or blue, etc) is bright enough and not to bright where they consider it to be a distraction for other drivers...but my opinion for you....do it and see, they look tight as hell cleared out..."ONE LUV"

Well, I take it you live in College Station, Texas???? IF that's the case, it's not Illegal to clear your headlights. You must have a white, blue or amber bulb for the blinker though.

and by doing this, you didn't damage the bumper right? do you think it would be possible to install an aftermarket upper grill by just peeling down the bumper?

hey guys I just did it, I took the bumper off its not hard. It looks so much better. Just make sure you caulk it good so it wont fill with moisture. It took me and my roommate about 2 hours to get everything off pull out the orange and put it back on. Definatley go for it

hey so rino, it wasn't hard at all? did you try to clear the headlights without taking off the bumper? I would really like it if I could find a way to clear the headlights without taking off the bumper. I'm really considering on doing it, I'm just afraid I might end up doing something wrong and messing up my headlights. to those who can help me make a decision, please post them, I really need some feedback from those experienced ones. thanks!
