hey i just put mine in about two weeks ago, and i say that it was much easier then clearing my head lights. it's like 6 bolts, 4 in the top and two at the bottom may take you a 1/2 hour to an hour at the most. ( with the engine cool of course)

I've heard that you need to put in a new gasket with new header just to start out fresh.
Where can I get an new gasket?

you can get them from honda, but I'd feel kinda weird walking in there
Me: "Uh, hi...i need a new header gasket."
Them: "What for?"
Me: "For my header"
Them: "You shouldn't be doing this yourself, you dumb little monkey."
Me: "uh, dang. thanks anyways."
Then again, I'm known to be a pessimist

Yea well i'm not too worried about that. My Honda dealership knows my car very well. Each time I take it in for oil changes and such the mechanics and salesman always come out to see what new items I have modded on the car.

As for the gasket do you mean the head gasket or the gasket between the exhaust and the header? The head gasket should still work. The other one is $3 at any muffler shop.
2001civ: That sounds like my last visit to the dealer, so I started asking them questions I knew they wouldn't know the answer too because I'm tired of them treating me like crap. They shut up after that. I've gone to a couple of dealers around here. I asked them a question about the H22, D16, and D17 because I was looking for some parts for a few different cars, and I kid you not, They didn't know what engines I was talking about, I had to them the year and models. So don't be discourged by them
you really should change the header gasket because the old one tend to warp into the shape of the old header and it wouldn't completely fill the gap between the new header and the engine block.
