OMG guys i posted this back in Sept. as a total joke b/c someone that day someone was just insistent on tightening their cable b/c of the HUGE POWER INCREASE!!!!!



btw don't waste your time doing this 'mod', if you could even call it that

actually the whole purpose of this mod is to get rid of the slack so the pedal is more responsive...

The red is the throttle cable. It leads from the gas pedal to the throttle body and controls the throttle plate. The yellow is the cruise control. See the thing circled in green? That will move if you pull on the throttle cable. The throttle plate won't open until you hit the thing circled in blue. The throttle cable pulls on the green thing and it hits the blue thing which in turn moves the throttle plate.

I adjusted mine so that the green thing is down, yet moves as soon as you hit the gas. You could adjust it so that the green thing is all the way up against the blue thing. That way the throttle plate will open as soon as you touch the gas pedal. However, keeping a little bit of slack betwean the two is probably a good thing. It has to do with the idle and when the ECU senses that you're in idle.
