throttle cable unspooling

i parked and went into class, came back in a couple hours. car started fine, but gas pedal was unresponsive. im like "aww ****" and i pop the hood. ends up that the throttle cable came unspooled. dont ask how, cause i got no clue. the car was sitting on a 15% decline (slanted lot). i put it back on the loop and temporarily fixed the problem, but should i look in the diy tighten throttle cable and do that so this doesnt happen again? i got an appointment with honda and I REALLY DONT WANT TO TAKE MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP cause all they'll do is like an hour work and 2 hours of beating the crap out of my car.

i had the same problem like two months ago but mine came off because my firend was revving the engine to check out my intake. ijsut put it back and checked it out. it looks ok i don't think that it'll come off while driving probably jsut after or something if i flick the gas pedal or something. if that's possible. jsut look at it if it's loose tighten it if it looks fine dont' touch it. hope that helps
