i bought some brembo rotors and the day that it was delivered i wasnt home and delivery guy left it outside and later that night it started raining and now the rotors are all rusted. My question does this hurt the performance of the rotors?

They would've rusted on your car regardless.

Yeah, but when you put them on your car and use them, it's hard to tell that they have been rusted. The brake pads touch them at such high speeds that the heat sort of "polishes" the rust off. Just drive through a car lot sometime and look at brake rotors. EVERY single one of them will be rusted-looking from lack of usage.

it's just on the surface. look at your stock rotors in the morning before you drive. they're the same way.

If you're really that worried about harming your brake pads with rusted rotors take your rotors to your local machine shop and simply have them resurface or "turn" them. If you go to a used car dealership and look at the rotors on most of those cars they're rusted. Metal is constantly wiping at a rotor so it's not finished. If it meets water it'll be rusted in no time.
