Anyone familiar with Turbo timers..

Hey Guys,

My Boss just bought a slightly used 99 Supra TT. The guy who previosuly owened it had a FET TB-208 Turbo Timer..anyone know anything on these?..

yup the last year i bealive was 98 and they were just left over 97's

it was manufactured march 1998 in Japan and relabelled as a 99. His Supra 's a Japanese car with Japanese writing on the radio buttons..lol..

What does a Turbo timer actually do?

Turbo timers just keep the engine running for a set amount of time after you shut it off so that oil/water can circulate and the turbo can cool down properly.

Exactly...If you don't use one of these puppies or make it a point to keep your engine idling to cool it down, you'll be changing turbo seals/bearings more often than underwear!

shoot i was about to cut and paste the issue about turbo timers in scc. but they didnt have it.
just look in the july issue of sport compact car and they have a great article and 6 reviews of turbo timers.
