What ya think bout this idea? (arospeed front mount intake)

K I always had loved the Arospeed cold Front Mount intake system, a friend of mines had it on both of his integra's and just thought it was the coolest ****, now since arospeed doesnt make them for the 7thgen civic, now im thinkin of gettin the universal air box and go to this shop where they do custom piping and have them extend the piping on my Injen SRI to the front bumper to then put on the universal air box, what do you guys think?, think the shop will do it? think their will be enough space to put the air box there?

Here's a picture of it on a older civic

coolest SH|T.. but what does it accomplish?

stay stock intake... or if u want the noise, just stick with ur SRI or whatever...

I dont think that thing does anything.. as in, actually improving performance..

the concept is there.. but I just dont think things work that way..

and yes, what happens when water hits that thing?

Well it would be something totally diffrent than all the other intakes that are out for the 7thgen civic, and just to have my car having something diffrent than anyone else. If im going to have a intake and have the same performance with both of them, might as well try this out to be diffrent.

As for the water, i had asked my friend the same question, he said its nothin to worry bout, unless your driving through big puddles of water, plus it comes with some lexan glass in front of it that you can take out or leave on for extra security

Yeah, there's a piece of plexi type glass that sits about a half inch in front of the filter, but covers it so it doesn't get messed up by water, bugs, rocks, etc... And then you can take the glass off and it becomes sort of a ram air intake. I think it would be pretty cool to have, but I bet it gets dirty really quick.

Actually i have seen it on a 7th gen civic while I was in Daytona for the Spring Break Nationals and Tuner Bash by the beach. It looks really phat, especially with a kit .
