Rep Power: 0 humm.....sounds like it depends on where your civic was built.
different altitudes will also play a role in MAP calucations....plus air pressure.
my civic hits 112-120, then it's like the fuel cuts, the car jerks forward from the loss of power. thats not a rev limiter, that's a speed limiter!
it is always at a different....

ok now that enough people are reading there is a way to get rid of the speed limiter
first of all you need an aftermarket tach and speedometer that way you can pick up your new speeds
then disconnect the sensors to your transmission, no sensor no rpm detected= no speed limiter
install the aftermarket speedo and tach
boom thats it
dont believe it??? try it

What are the engine RPMS at your top speed?
You could be running out of gear...some of the most fearsome of the 60's musclecars with 400+ horsepower topped out at less than 120mph. Why? Gearing...

The symptoms you describe are those of a rev limiter.
Are you at/near the engine redline when travelling at these speeds? You may be feeling the rev limiter.

Rep Power: 356 whats the point in haveing a High top speed any way? Whats the point?
But, If you really want to go 150 MPH down the freeway, you could always just change the gearing, but then you would have very slow acceleration, but Hey you can do 150.....

Rep Power: 0 What if you changed the final gear to a longer gearing. Like the integra type-r. It has a long final, 4.40 I think. But to push our cars to 150+, we need plenty of hp to pull us there.
