Question Engine Shaking?

I'm not sure whats qoinq on with my civic, Everytime i start the car it starts shakinq like crazy!!! Like with my Accord it would shake and then stop once you put the car in drive and you drive it. HOWEVER, the civic doesnt stop shakinq even after putting it in drive.

Could be that its missing the engine mounts? that was my number one guess.
i'm not too sure because i've gotten so many different answers.

Opinions Please (:

Re: Engine Shaking?

Anticrime is right. If it's not a mechanical thing like loose engine mounts then it's a tune-up issue, probably caused by weak spark. Do a major tuneup if you need to.

Re: Engine Shaking?

if its the whole car that shakes, then its not a mount issue. if its just the engine that shakes then its probably a loose mount.
Getting a tune up will help your car last, run smoother, and save gas

Re: Engine Shaking?

Distributor cap/Rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, air filter.

If you have more money:
02 sensor, MAP sensor.

After a tuneup, run carb cleaner through the intake several times, drive it a bit, then check idle RPM.
