Automatic Y8 intake help

I just swapped motors from a d16y7 to a y8. Now my question is the y8 motor came out of a automtic car and i have a 5 spd. Which means the intakes are going to be different. How would i do about fixing the idling problem...I had to put the old y7 mani on there so it would idle correctly. And as a side note i bought this motor with 90k on it and i am only getting around 300-330 miles to the tank... I should b getting more right? tune?

Re: Automatic Y8 intake help

I'm betting it has to do with the difference in the IACV. I'm not entirely sure about the y7 but the y8 automatic uses a different IACV than the manual. They use different throttle bodies as well. If the y8 mani you have came from an automatic you will have to drill two holes in it to use the manual idle valve though.
