Gas light and Air intake Q's

My gas light has never come on and i have had my car since september. it was on E the other day and the light still did not come on. What's the problem. I usually pump 9.5 gal. of gas, am i not letting it get low enough?
Also, i have an Ex automatic, which air intake is the best--cold or hot?

What question are u asking?? I will try my best. In terms of Air intake systems, it isn't referred to as hot. There is a short ram and a cold air intake. Do a search and you will find you answer. The gas gauge is a little weird on the civic. It may seem like you are low but you aren't. You are low when the gas light goes on. And still then you have like 30 or more miles left.

i did do a search, and it would say what kind of air intake the person had, but not whether their car is an automatic or not, and i heard one type is better for an automatic. Thanks for helping me get my terminology straight

I thought the samething about my gas light when I got my car, but trust me, your gas light works. If your pumping in 9.5 gallons, your not low enough yet. When your car has less than 3 gallons, then it comes on. So basicly when you go to the gas station and pump anything over 10.3 gallons, your gas light should of been on. Well thats how my car is.

The truth is that the SRI works better for an automatic. I don't think they make a CAI for an auto anyway.

Injen makes a CAI for automatics. Got one, but haven't put it on yet waiting for the bypass valve. I think www.ptuning.com had the best price $187.00 free ship. Ordered it fri and it came ups by mon, fast as hell. Injen CAI Link

Anyone know how often I should clean and re oil the filter?
