Ok, I've been racing for a while in my other car (72 challenger that runs 12.49's), but yesterday I won my first race in my civic! I've got a 2001 DX automatic coupe with intake, exhaust, sport mirrors, altezzas, and front grilles. Anyways, I was driving home from work, and I pull up next to some old dude (like dinosaur old) driving a new subaru legacy gt. As soon as the light turns green I just hear a loud a$$ intake, and his tires squealing (did not merit the word burnout). So as soon as I see him shoot out of the corner of my eye, I hit it and start pulling on him. By the time I was up to 100, he was 3 car lengths behind. Then some dumb son of a #%^^% pulls out in front of me and I have to lock up the brakes. Oh well, I was satisfied! Good kill, well I got another race story.(kinda long) I was going to the local races on saturday with me friend, he has a 98 automatic eclipse with intake, exhaust, bodykit and tint. He was leading the way and he decides to get in the other lane and slow down next to me talking about he can smoke me. Well I have a lx 5 spd, with rims, lowered and some other goodies but no performance mods. I figured he would beat me but to my suprise, by the time we got to 90 i was ahead by a car length. Then we slow it down and out of no where a sentra of some sort does a ricer fly by. The sentra looked like it was around the 96 year, so I catch up to her, yes it was a female and we do a roll from 45. With what I could tell she had exhaust and intake and it had a bodykit and rims. Well she beat me by like 3 bumper lengths. All three of us pulled over and I won at the end because I got her number.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/IMG] So she is going to meet up with me next weekend and we are going to drive together.
