I bought an EX that I am working on. The exhaust manifold is cracked, and I would like to know what you all think about this header from eBay:

I just need to get this project going and want any input I get. I do not have a buncha cash to blow on this currently. I thank you in advance for your opinions.

the one that you have is a tri-y header, and for the price it looks good, however if you can get a 4-1 header for just over $ 30 more it willl be great. they offer supperior low speed power, musch better midrange and a hair more power in the big end.

Ok I've been searching for a 4-1 Header for a 1997 Honda Civic EX and I can find some very high end DC Sports units but not any that are feasible for me at this time. Any ideas?

i would not waste time with generic or off brand ebay junk either. i have, and eventually it ends up in the garbage can where it belongs. if you cant afford a name brand like DC that has all the testing to back it up, then try to find a used oem one or simply have your cracked one welded back together. its just a piece of metal im sure a shop can fix it for not very much money.

but now even moreso, it solidifies what i stated earlier. If you know you get what you pay for, then you should know that that ebay header is crap.

You do realize that even if something costs $74 or $174 you will still get what you pay for. If you do not get what you paid for, you were robbed! Price is not always an indicator of quality or usability.

nice find, they go for like 160 nowadays. But you see how your header was manufactured by "megan" its not just a generic no name part. Megan makes good products for the most part
