Re: My Honda
First, don't type in all caps. It's irritating.
Second, we don't know anything about your car, it's setup, what mods you've done, so on and so forth. Without any information, how can we help you?
Third, come on man. Spell check and grammar. You're 27 years old. You should know how to string a sentence together without sounding like a 16 yr old kid crankin' on Pop Rocks and Dr. Pepper.
Fourth, you'd do best to take this out of your public profile now before too many other folks see it....
About Me:
i love cars jap cars im a bit like jessi on the fast and the furious first film cars carm me down.
Welcome to the site. Most of us are OK here, but you're not going to get much traction without some clear questions and background information provided first.

Re: My Honda
it sounds like valve tapping to me, and even on my new 06 FG1 you can slightly hear this happen especially when at a drive-though window, but if its pretty loud & on an older vehicle then youll need to fix it, however if you cannot afford to fix it at this time
I suggest using/doing:
a thicker oil grade then your currently using right now.
BarDahl - its like a thick glue, overtime this could lead to further damage imho.
but should work.
Valvetrain, guides, seals are getting sloppy!
i hope im wrong but give the thciker oil a shot?

Re: My Honda
How many miles are on the car? It's also possible that you need the valve lash adjusted if you've got a fair amount of miles (80K+) and it's never been done before.
I know my old '85 CRX was noisy as all get out until I adjusted them. Ran much better afterwards too. It's fairly easy to do as long as you have a Haynes manual to take you through it. It probably only takes about 25 minutes after you get the valve cover off.

Re: My Honda
If there are a lot of miles on the engine get the valves adjusted. Its not that expensive and its much cheaper then buying a new engine due to lack of service. Check and change the oil on time. Spent oil or not enough oil usually leads to valve noise/wear first and becomes a progressive destroyer to anything friction related. It only takes a few miles with inadaquate lubrication to wipe out a top end.
Thicker oil is a bandaid. Basically the molecules in the oil are bigger to take up more space in between the friction surfaces. If you need a valve adjustment it may make the noise stop but if the lower end is still tight you may do more harm than good.
