Lock Nuts/Alarms Etc.
Do lock nuts really work or are they a waste of money? Are there really that many different combinations? I live in a high crime area and I'm looking for the best way to protect my car and wheels. I have a codealarm system. Is there anything else I can do to protect car?
In my experiance if they want to jack your wheels they will, one way or another. I saw a post in the ICE forum that suggested an alarm with two batteries and 3 sirens. Two were outside and one in the air vent. Sounds good to me because it would be hard to disable. Look it up it might benefit you.
Peace,

yeah, if you buy any of those DEI alarms (viper,clifford,etc...) u can buy a backup battery and multiple sirens, one right underneath the steering column. make sure you have a well-experienced installer putting in your stuff

Wheel locks are effective. All wheel locks come with a key. It takes the "jackers" more time to get a wheel off if you have wheel locks on your car, and especially if you have more than one lock per wheel. If you take your car to a tire shop, cuz you lost your key, they will be able to take off your rim. But they have to break the lock and that makes a hell of alot of noise. SO! If you have a good alarm, and some nice wheel locks, you should be alright. But you know what dude? We live in Miami. If they wanna take your sh*t, they will take it, alarm, wheel locks, club, etc. and all. And if they cant, they will prolly burn it jsut to spite u.
