if it's rusted out or something, it will probably need to be replaced. if it's just a crack, or a weld separated, it can prolly be rewelded. most muffler shops will do that for like $5 or 10 bucks, or sometimes even free in my experience. stop by one and have them take a look.

Assuming you have an ex, then it shouldnt be a problem. But if you have a DX or LX, and the crack is by the cat (on the header) replace it because rewelding a header will never hold, and the crack will reappear in the same spot shortly down the road. But if you got an ex, and the resonator your talking about is under the car, its no biggie. And I dont think its gas thats leaking out. When I took off my stock exhaust, there was some liquid in it, I thought it was gas, but it wasnt- I think it was just condensation, I guess I coulda tryed a lighter to be absolutley sure (once it was off the car and away from the gas tank) but whatever. Its not a huge deal so dont freak, but def get it checked out and fixed. Another option, which I hardly know anything about, is heat wrapping the exhaust, I dunno if this would seal your leak or not, prob not the best choice, but getting that thing rewelded is every day stuff to a muffler shop.
