i need dash help!!!!!!!!!
ok so i hade a fire in my car so i have to replace all the wires. i just took my car to honda and there were gona charge me 1100 buck so i am goning to change everything under the dash. does anyone have a diy on hot to take apart the dash. i need everything anyone have got..
For starters, you're going to need a lot of help. I'm going to operate under the assumption that you're reasonably proficient at basic electrical stuff. I would go to the nearest aute parts store and get a Haynes or Chilton service manual for the car, it will help more than this forum will.
A brand-new Insturment wiring harness is going to run right at $150 from your dealer. I'm assuming you're a 2001 EX coupe. I strongly recommend you purchase a new harness, this isn't something you want to skimp on. Honda eStore will have all the parts you'll need.
In all honesty, you've got quite a daunting task ahead of you. If you don't have an ESV (Expanded Scale Voltmeter) I strongly suggest you get one, it'll help greatly. Just make sure you replace whatever has been damaged.
I'm not sure anyone on these boards has done a full harness replacement. I'd try PMing TransformedBG, he may have. Just be careful.
