Received an early xmas present which was a viper 5000. Never let anyone touch my car and im not about to start. So far i kind of know where most of the wires go. The door lock harness and the auxiliary harness, im totally in the blue. All i actually want out of this alarm is to finally be able to push a button to unlock the doors without fiddling with a key. And for 2-way thingy (sooo coool looks like a little cell phone haha). So i think i wont need the auxiliary harness. Door lock harness? Wheres those wires go? *cries*

you should really consider having an experienced installer do that for you. the effectiveness of an alarm system doesnt always depend on the unit itself, rather the quality of the installation. either way, lock is blue/white and unlock is green/white above the drivers kick. you'll find both right next to each other in a wide gray plug.
or make friends w/ an installer and have them teach you. installation is fairly easy when you know what your doing. its when something goes wrong and you need to be able to diagnose the problem thats a pain in the @ss. also if your going to attempt the install yourself, do two things: get yourself a wire diagram for the car ( i can send you one if you need), and use a DMM to test the wire before you hook up!!
good luck, and let us know how it turns out

Uh oh...this doesn't sound good. I know that you are **** about having people touch your car, but I agree that this is one of those times in which you NEED to take it to an experienced professional if you don't know what you are doing. Because if you go fiddling around with your vehicles' wiring, and mess something up, very bad things can happen; and your great Xmas gift just turned into a major pain in the ***. Why don't you pay a good shop $99 to install it and go chill out for a couple hours with your girl and let them deal with it...
Anyway if you do go fiddling around with it, just don't splice into wires wrapped in yellow wire loom or yellow tape!
Merry Xmas
