i have the same problem....new battery and new alternator, and my check battery light is still on, i am going to check the fuses under the dash tommrow and see whats up with them, i dont have Homemade O2 sims but i did an lx/ex exhaust swap with the stock 02 sensors so i dont think that would cause a problem. Now the VSS sensor for my speedO if no fuses are blown anywhere it has to be that correct?>

I also had the same problem. I put an after market down pipe on my car and it moved the o2 sensor back a little and it wouldn't fit in the little clip to hold the wire. Over time it caused the wire to rub on the sub frame and blew the fuse. My dash lights came on and my speedo, alt, and cruise control quit. I took it to honda and they fixed it. They told me it was under warranty and I could pick it up. When I got there, they said it was because of the after market downpipe and made me pay $180 for them fixing (taping) it. After that, I noticed that my speedo was moving really slow, lucky for me they replaced the gauge cluster under warranty.

So you are saying that i should check my 02 sensor wires for any cut connections? say there is one....reconnect it and then what? where is the fuse to reset the 02 sensors? and how can a blown 02 sensor cause the alt/speedO/ to stop working?

Just make sure that your rear 02 sensor wires are not touching any part of ur body. I had a hona technitian tell me straight up that it grounds those wires and in return constanly blows the fuse to the alternator. And i guess when the fuse to the alternator is blown your spedometer nor odometer starts working.

my friend had the same exact problem...it was his o2 censor wire which was crimped a lil and it was causing it to mess everything up that u described...the bad o2 censor cause his battery light to come on, and battery to die, and speedo stopped working...once he got it replaced it worked perfect again

ok well it happened again.....so i guess im going to have to re wrap my O2 sensor wires and make sure none of them are beign grounded out by the chasis. Im guessing when this happens it cause the Alternator Fuse to blow? Am i correct in thinking this will solve my problem?

I don't know if that's your problem too, but it sounds like it. I replaced the fuse in my car and thought cool it was just a fuse but when I drove down the highway at higher speeds the fuses just kept blowing. It sucked because I was a state away and had to drive all the way home, on the hightway, at night, with no speedo, cruise, or alternator I would definitely take a good look at your o2 sensor wires so you can at least rule that out.

sounds like you need to replace the o2 sensor...because of the wires going bad the sensor is more than likley shot...even if the wires look good the sensor can be bad which can cause everything
