Ignition wire....

Hey guys, just a quick question. The instructions say run one wire to 12v, one to ground, and one to the ignition. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Pics would be awesome... Thanks in advance...

A varad led. It just looks like one of those led's for an alarm. I'm installing it just for the look, so people won't be as tempted to take my stuff.

I did one of these with my old integra. I found a fuse labeled "alternator" and that seemed to work for the hi/lo wire. For the negative wire, I loosened one of the screws holding the rear view mirror to the car frame and shoved it in the gap and then tightened it. As long as it touches any metal part on the car, it should be ok. The 12V wire I connected to one of the other fuses I connected to the clock. If there is no clock fuse, look for a function that always on even when the key is off. Anyways, hope this helps. Try to connect the scanner to equipment site of the fuse and not the power side but then I just attached it wherever.

The fuse box in the integra was underneath the steering wheel. You might have to find an alternate source for our civic. Haven't had time to look around much.

Mokushi if your going to do it yourself, atleast wire it correctly and go down to the nearest auto zone or whatever and get the parts you need.

Peace

Why don't you just do a hook up to a switch so you can turn that sucker on and off if you want to.
E-mail if you need more help, shiet if you live in the bay area, I'll install it for you.

I thought about a switch, but I don't want to have to flip it on/off every time I get in/out...

Yeah, well this was my first try at it and plus it was on an old car. Never had a problem with it though. All the stuff on my civic is done nicely though. I think...
